We need a Dog

This is Britt, the winning Sheepdog from the Soldier Hollow Classic. This dog looks a bit like the dog I had growing up. Son wants a dog so bad "he's going to explode." Middlebrow and I pretty much feel the same way. After Christmas, then a dog. That's the promise we've made. We'd really like a Border Collie or a shepherd, the only problem is, they need jobs, like herding or else they make jobs, like chewing up every pair of shoes in the house. Most likely we will rescue some mixed mutt from the pound. And we will love him or her!!

I can recommend a couple of rescue groups for you if you don't have any in mind, or you could always foster a dog. That's tough one, of course, but is worth it.

Hurray for dogs! Definitely rescue one, and definitely think about the kind (e.g., size) of dog you think makes sense. Oh, I am full of all manner of advice on this subject! I offer my services as a consultant.

Dogs rule. You should watch 8 below to really get you in the mood. Rescuing dogs is a great idea. Remember Tahoe?? Maybe it's job can be to get Ross tired.

I need a dog! I need a jack russell terrier. But my apartment is too small and too yardless to handle a little ball of endless energy. But some day.

You can have my dog! (Okay, I don't really mean that, but she's aging and itchy and sometimes really annoying. Not to mention expensive, Ms. Gotta Have Meds and Expensive Food.)

y'all can keep your dogs and I will stick with my cats. I never thought I'd say it but if I've got to have pets (kids wanted them) then I'm for cats--easy upkeep, relatively few needs (except for Potsu, our male, climbs right on our chests even when we are sleeping), and no barking.

Pound dogs are the best! Dogs are only slightly more work than children...
