My Son: The Pugilist

He looks like a boxer.
These are his scars.
He bled like a champ and took his stitches like a hero.
He has lived through the purple arcs beneath the eyes and the doctor's manipulation of his membranes.
He will look back on these stitches fondly, as the first of many situations which showed him who he is,
and who he will be.

He totally does look like a boxer. Better, he looks kind of like a movie star playing a boxer.

Scars aren't necessarily a bad thing. They are like unchosen tattoos with stronger effect. You might say that they add character. Easy to say, I know.

He looks so tough--but it's still a little heart-breaking. He's just 7. 7!

Wow! As a former crash and burn artist, I feel for him. But - many fond memories are made of such...
Hang in there, young man-on-the-move.

I want to call so he can tell me all about it. I can't wait to hear it from him. But poor guy. Maybe a little three stooges will cheer him up!!
