Thoughts I Had While Moving Rocks Today

Does this stone look like Maine?
Here's Massachusetts, but without Cape Cod. This one is Michigan. Wouldn't it be easier to make a patio if it was just a puzzle of the U.S. and then all we had to do was fit the stones back together?
This stone is shaped like Rhode Island and is the same size as Rhode Island.
Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska.
Why did we make a big pile of dirt there? It needs to be moved.
Why did I get a PhD in English instead of learning a trade?
If a Humanities degree was a tool, what kind of tool would it be? (my guess: rubber mallet)
I'm hot.
Is it snack time?
Am I pretty?

Listen, I know you don't want to hear certain words at the moment, but I have to say that a certain effort you have recently been engaged in, one that involves the earth and moving it around so that there is room for another installation . . . your writing is awesome about it.

As for what tool the Humanities degree would be, I would have thought a flail for self-flagellation? I think it's on the Humanities crest, in fact.

I'm picturing a lovely, giant map in your backyard. I look forward to singing 50 Nifty United States when I get to town.

Nothing that looked like Utah? Come on! Every rectangle with a bit taken off looks like Utah.

Rubber mallet AND a flail for self-flagellation I'd say: We need both inutility and self-doubt.
