I echo lisa b's remark on the attractiveness of the Dr Write character. I think you should use that likeness as your avatar.
I wanna write a murder mystery in which my Outstanding TA Award letter opener is used as a murder weapon. It would be fictional because, in fact, the darn thing isn't even sharp enough to open a letter.
Someone wrote a whole series of such mysteries for BBC radio. They are set in Cambridge and feature academics or students suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.
